Scion has dropped its second limited edition for 2008--the tC Release Series 4.0.
The tC Release Series 4.0 will make its first appearance at the Chicago auto show next week. Only 2300 copies will be produced.
The limited-edition model includes a body kit and grille from Japanese body kit maker DAMD and a "galactic gray mica" paint job.
Interior changes include gray and black Alcantara upholstered seats with "tC RS 4.0" embroidery. A leather-wrapped steering wheel, RAZO shift knob and individually number plaque is also included.
The tC Release Series 4.0 will carry a $2,770 price premium above the tC's base price-- $17,620 for cars with a manual transmission, and $18,420 for automatic models. The optional color-keyed spoiler is an additional $285 plus installation costs.
The latest special model follows the xB Release Series 5.0 shown in January at the Detroit auto show.
